My late husband, Frank, was blessed during his illness to have the professional and personal care of his Hospice nurse, Bernadette, his Social Worker, Joyce, and Dr. L. of The Villages Cornerstone Hospice team. He was treated with dignity and kindness and I was given the support I needed during this difficult time.
I'm sure many are not aware of the services that the Bereavement Group of Hospice provides. I have received phone calls and mailings offering assistance from the group. During a difficult time, it's always helpful to have a "shoulder" to lean on. Hospice has a plentiful supply of "shoulders."
