January 2011

My precious Mother suffered a major stroke that was totally unexpected.  Within a week, doctors recommended Hospice and they stepped in within 24 hours.  There are simply no words to truly convey what that last week at Lane Purcell House meant to our family.  We were greeted by the most caring staff I've ever met anywhere.  They tended to Mother as if she were their own, and gently led us down the path of her departure, teaching us every step of the way what to expect and how to help make her transition from this life to the next.  There were sleeping arrangements for us right in her rooom, and a staffed kitchen to provide nourishment for us. The facility is a beautiful place of healing and serenity.  We left a part of our hearts at the Lane Purcell House.

With much, much love,  Yvonne and family
